Great gift for 5 year old! September 21, 2008 L. Nardi I bought this for my son's 5th birthday. The hat and wand mostly hold his attention. The hat has a hiding space for tricks. My 12 year old was learning how to do the other tricks then teaching my 5 year old so it got all my kids interacting. We laughed and laughed at how cute his show was. The hat is fabric and well made, but you must handle it gently for it to last. I highly recommend.
Great first magic set September 19, 2008 Christy (New York) Bought this set for my 4 year old nephew. The set keeps him entertained for hours. Be careful with some of the pieces, they are a bit small, especially if you have little ones around. I would have preferred the magic tricks come in a hard case you can use as a table instead of a cardboard box. Just prepare yourself for hours on end of magic tricks.
Liked it August 14, 2008 Melissa Brown I liked it, bought it for my neice. It seemed a little cheap once she opened it, and it seemed like it would break. ALso, the tricks take some time to learn. But she enjoyed it, so it was a winner.

This product is good, but my grandson already owned one which I didn't know. I thought that this was just a wonderful magic hat but it turns out to be a magic kit. However, he has enjoyed the one that already owns tremendously. Unfortunately, this one is in the process of being returned.
Magic Hat December 29, 2007 Kelly "O" Belly (Philadelphia, PA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this for my son as a Christmas present. I think he was more impressed with the tophat more then actually doing the tricks. A lot of magic tricks in the manual require items from home (ex: handkerchief, quarters....) so this isn't a complete magic kit. Though it seems briefly entertaining so far.
